On September 5th, 2025, more than 1,350 visitors of all ages joined the DFKI Open Day in Bremen!

The day offered a unique chance to experience cutting-edge research in AI and robotics up close: from robots for space missions and astronaut training, to autonomous underwater vehicles for ammunition recovery, as well as systems for strawberry harvesting, disaster control, and medical rehabilitation.

A true crowd favorite was B-Human’s robot football team, 12-time world champions, who impressed everyone with their skills on the pitch. Children and adults also enjoyed the interactive stations, where they could control robots themselves.

HARTU had its own dedicated space at the event, where we showcased our technologies, ongoing studies, and demonstrators with videos, robots, and live demonstrations. It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with the public, exchange ideas, and inspire curiosity about the future of manufacturing.
