On January 28th, the HARTU project reached an important milestone with its Final Event, held in Eibar (Spain) at the headquarters of TEKNIKER. The event marked the official wrap-up of three years of intense research and innovation aimed at enabling human-centred, trustworthy and effective AI and robotics solutions for manufacturing.

Organised in a hybrid format, the event welcomed end users, industrial stakeholders, researchers and project partners, creating a valuable space to reflect on HARTU’s journey, share its final outcomes, and discuss future perspectives beyond the project’s lifetime.

From challenges to solutions: the six pillars of HARTU

During the event, the consortium presented the six core pillars of HARTU, starting from the key challenges identified at the beginning of the project and illustrating how these were addressed through concrete developments and validations.
The presentations highlighted how HARTU combined technological innovation with a strong focus on human, social and organisational aspects, ensuring that advanced AI and robotic solutions remain usable, safe and beneficial for people working in industrial environments.

The morning session also included a talk by SmartHande, one of HARTU’s sister projects, reinforcing the strong links between related Horizon Europe initiatives. This contribution showcased how the projects are aligned, share research directions and actively exchange knowledge to maximise impact across the European manufacturing ecosystem.

Explore HARTU results online

To accompany the final phase of the project, the HARTU website has been enriched with dedicated pages for each project result. These pages allow visitors to explore the outcomes in depth, including:

  • clear descriptions of each result,

  • images and videos of the demonstrators,

  • links to related tools, methodologies and key findings.

This new section offers a structured overview of HARTU’s impact and provides an accessible entry point for stakeholders interested in applying or building upon the project’s outcomes.

Thank you and what’s next

The HARTU consortium would like to sincerely thank everyone who followed the project over the past three years, contributed to its activities, and engaged with its results — from workshops and pilots to dissemination and collaboration initiatives.

Although the project is concluding, the story of HARTU does not end here. In the coming weeks, we will continue to share final publications, deliverables and materials to ensure that HARTU’s knowledge, tools and lessons learned remain available and impactful beyond the project’s duration.
